Mr. Dimitris Tsagaris, President and CEO of FAO Economics and member of the Scientific Committee of the EPLO Academy of Taxation and Accounting, participated in the event of the Hellenic Federation of Industries on "The resolution of tax disputes: The Experience of 2013-2023 and the Future Perspective", held on Thursday 4 April 2024.
Mr.Tsagaris participated in the panel on "Proposals for accelerating the resolution of tax disputes", making a significant contribution to the dialogue and exchange of views.
In the context of the discussion, the following issues were raised:
- Focus on Prevention to Avoid Tax Disputes
- Measures to speed up tax litigation
- The use of arbitration in tax disputes
- Developments in the EU on resolving cross-border cases
Mr.Tsagaris' proposals and contribution to the discussion were an important factor in understanding the challenges and opportunities for resolving tax disputes in Greece and in the wider context of the European Union.
